Terms.

Effective 2026-09-25. "We" is GRAM 1 LLC, Oakland, California.

The short version. You bought a tool. It's yours for two phones, on any computer, for as long as you own them, and we'll refund you within 14 days if you haven't used it or it didn't work.

What you get

  1. A license to use Off My Phone to back up photos from two phones you own or are allowed to back up, on any number of computers, Windows and Mac, for as long as you own them. A phone counts from its first backup; a third phone is a separate purchase. It is not a subscription.
  2. The free preview (seeing what would be copied) needs no license and may be used by anyone.
  3. Updates to the version you bought. If a future major version is a separate purchase, we'll say so at the time; nothing you already have stops working.

What you may not do

Refunds

14 days. A full refund if you haven't backed up a phone yet, or if it didn't work for your phone (press Report a problem in the app and send us the reference). Email us (the address is in your Polar order email) from the address you bought with; Polar, our merchant of record, returns the money to your original payment method. Once refunded, the license stops working for the phones it covered at its next check; backups already on your computer stay yours. If you're in the EU or UK, your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal applies as well. Mac App Store purchases are refunded by Apple under Apple's terms.

Mac App Store cross-grant

If you bought Off My Phone on the Mac App Store, you may redeem that purchase once, on this website, for a Windows license under these same terms. This is a courtesy from us, not something sold or delivered by Apple.

Warranty and liability

We built the app to copy every file and verify each one, and it tells you how many were copied and which ones, if any, failed. Still: the software is provided as is. Keep your phone's own copies until you've confirmed the backup contains what you expect. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid for the license.
